description abstract | We have investigated the complexation reactions of benzylbisthiosemicarbazon (BTC) with Ni2+, CO2+, Zn2+ and Cr3+ cations at different temperatures in acetonitrile-dimethylformamide (AN-DMF) binary non-aqueous solvent solutions using electrical conductometry method. The values of formation constants of the complexes were determined from computer fitting of the conductance versus mole ratio data using a GENPLOT computer programme[1].BTC forms 1:1 complexes with the studied metal cations in solutions. In most cases, a non-linear relationship is observed between the stability constants of the complexes ( ) and the composition of the AN-DMF binary solvent. | en |
