description abstractIn this study, behavior of pure gas permeability of polyur- ethanes based on PTMG at pressure 2Bar and temperature 30̊ C was investigated. The results obtained from characterization tests like FT-IR and XRD showed that the mixing of soft and hard segment phases and crystallinity of soft segments increase by increase the ether change extender BDA in polymer structure. The soft area of polyurethane polymer is made of Polyol Due to enhancement in free volume, gas permeation increases corresponding to molecular weight enhancement of applied Polyol in polymer synthesis. The mechanical strength and thermal resistance of membrane relates to hard segment of polymer. The value of selectivity increased due to applied changes in chain extender, it decreases the number of required membrane that makes it affordable in terms of time and cost.en
