Using a network of ports for shielding effectiveness optimization of an enclosure with arbitrary shape apertures
سال
: 2018
چکیده: A network of ports will be used to determine the optimized locations and geometries for arbitrary shape apertures on a metallic enclosure. This approach benefits from S‐parameter analysis and circuit theory for the description of the shielding. An analytic discussion will show the validity of the new method, which is based on a recently published paper. The consistency of the results for case studies solved by this port network with both literature and 3‐D full‐wave computed results will show the practicality of the proposed method.
The positive effect of symmetry is a major outcome of the case study discussed here. Although the method is theoretically verified here, it can be easily implemented as a simple and reliable shielding effectiveness measurement method. The proposed method obliterates the limits of the traditional simulation and experimental methods as it has no dimensional limits and no need for antennas, shielded rooms, reverberation chambers, etc.
