description abstractThe aim of this study was evaluated the effects of different levels of wheat bran on chemical composition and fermentational properties of citrus pulp silage. In this experiment, the whole citrus pulp was manually chopped (3-4 cm length) and used as untreated or treated with wheat bran for (6, 12, 18 g/Kg fresh citrus pulp). Treatments were ensiled under anaerobic condition for 6 weeks. Each treatment has 4 replicate. After 42 days, trial silages evaluated for chemical composition and fermentational properties (pH and NH3-N Concentration). The data was analyzed by SAS (2003) program and Proc GLM as a completely randomizing design. Means were separated by Duncan test at 0.05 probability level. Results showed that, there are significantly differences between treatments for DM%, CP%, EE%, NDF% and ADF%. There were no significantly different between treatments for Ash%, pH and nitrogen ammonia. This study showed that fresh citrus pulp can be used for silage because it is high contents of water soluble carbohydrate and organic acids.en
