description abstractWe study electron transport properties through a C59N molecule. Calculations

are based on Green’s function technique. In this study, the

molecule is connected to two semi-infinite metallic electrodes. In the

current-voltage characteristic rectification behaviour is observed due

to the asymmetry in this molecule and junctions. In addition, negative

differential resistance is observed which indicates contribution of

holes in the conductance through this molecule.
