Histopathological study of cerebral lesions associated with copper deficiency in ovine aborted fetuses and newborn lambs

Abstract

In an 2-year period, 2007–2009, 280 cases of ovine aborted fetuses and neonatal mortality were submitted to the Veterinary Teaching Hospital, Ferdowsi University of Mashhad. These included a majority of aborted fetuses, some stillborn animals and a few clinically affected lambs. Of these 280 submissions, 260 were suitable for examination in this study.
