description abstractInput impedance of a Rectangular Dielectric Resonators Antenna (RDRA) operated at the dominant mode of operation is studied numerically and experimentally. The antenna structure is simulated using the High Frequency Structure Simulator (HFSS) software package. The effects of probe length and gap between probe and resonator on the input impedance and resonance frequency of the antenna are investigated. A few experimental set-ups were examined and the antenna parameters were measured. The results show good agreement between theory and experiments and also the significance of the gap between the resonator and probe in simulation.en
