چکیده: A novel and green approach was adopted for the synthesis of 3,4-dihydropyrimidin-2(1H)-one/thiones derivatives using Punica granatum peel as an inexpensive, efficient and mild catalyst under solvent-free condition. The methodology is characterized by high efficiency, short reaction time, high yields, simple
experimental procedure, availability of catalyst and environmentally friendly reaction conditions. Further, the catalyst can be reused and recovered seven times without significant decrease in its activity.
