Abstract: Several derivatives of the novel pyrimido[4′,5′:2,3] [1,4]thiazepino[7,6-b]quinoline ring system have been
synthesized through cyclocondensation of 5-amino-6-methylpyrimidine-4-thiols 5a,b and 2-chloroquinoline-
3-carbaldehydes 6a–c in the presence of K2CO3 in DMF.
