به نظر می رسد با پیشرفت در روش های تصویر سازی از مغز و به کارگیری آزمایشات شناختی هدفمند و استفاده از ابزارهایی برای ثبت فعالیت مغز به هنگام فعالیت های ریاضی زمینه های لازم برای مطالعه و پاسخگویی به سوالات مطرح شده فراهم شده باشد.
