Design of cryogenic system for liquefaction of hydrogen

Abstract: Recently, hydrogen known as an efficient source of energy is used for long distances. One of the most suitable ways of liquefying hydrogen is Linde-Hampson process which has a pre cooler. In this research, selection of the most efficient equipments is discussed. We will also read about the details of the process. This article presents thermodynamic terms and main structure of different parts like compressor or heat exchange, purifier, and dryer unit and catalytic reactor for converting of para hydrogen to ortho hydrogen with expansion valve and storage tank and design details have presented. The fastest flow that this system can bear in optimum hydrogen flow is 300 lit/hr.
