A study on the occurence of aflatoxin M1 in bulk tank raw milk in Khorasan Razavi province

چکیده: Aflatoxin M1 is a major metabolic of aflatoxin B1 and is secreted in the milk of mammals that have been contaminated feed with aflatoxin B1. Aflatoxin M1 is also a hepatocarcinogen and is classified in group 1 by the international agency for research on cancer. Exposure to aflatoxin M1 through milk products is a serious problem for public health. The aim of this study was to evaluate the presence of aflatoxin M1 in raw milk samples during different seasons by ELISA method in Khorasan Razavi province.
Sixty four bulk tank raw milk samples were collected from 16 dairy herds were randomly selected during two cold and warm seasons and their aflatoxin M1 concentration was determined by a competetive enzyme-Linked Immuno sorbent assay method. The mean differences were analysed using spss 19 software by Duncans\\'s test.
