Structural Properties of Silver\\\\Palladium Bimetallic Nanoparticles Fabricated by Ultrasound Method

Abstract: In the present work,

the simultaneous reduction method was used to synthesis the Pd/Ag bimetallic NPs from

aqueous solutions of silver and palladium nitrate in the presence ultrasound (US) waves. The

sodium tetraborate (NaBH4) and polyvinylpyrrolidone (PVP) were used as reducing and

stabilizer agents, respectively.

The size, optical properties, structure, and composition distribution of the resultant NPs were

characterized by transmission electron microscopy (TEM), UV/VIS spectroscopy, X-ray

diffraction (XRD), high-resolution transmission electron microscopy (HRTEM), scanning

tunneling microscopy (STM), and energy dispersive X-ray analysis (EDX).
